Evening - Arrive at
Hamble Point - Introduction to yacht. Safety briefing. Explanation to where everything is kept. General safety brief and discussion on the week ahead. 20:00 Ashore for a drink, bite to eat and get to know the Skipper and other
people on the cruise. Sleep aboard the yacht. |

Day One: |
Wake up -Early
Start. Preparation to depart and deck briefing. Depart
for Cherbourg. Practice: Conventional and
electronic navigation. Course to steer, Estimated positions,
Traffic Separation Scheme and collision avoidance. Making
landfall Pilotage techniques. Moor up. |

Day Two |
Wake up and have breakfast
Passage to St Vaast
- sail around Cap Barfleur then head south to St Vaast. Pilotage
into the entrance and through the lock gates
Overnight in the marina. Explore Ashore. |

Day Three |
Wake up and have breakfast,
wander ashore for showers.
Sail to Ouistreham via the World
War II D-Day Mulberry harbours at Arromanches and anchor for
lunch if the weather is settled. Onto Ouistreham, lock into Caen
canal. Night in marina |

Day Four |
Wake up and have breakfast,
wander ashore.
Optional day ashore to view the
D-Day museum, walk up the Caen canal to Pegasus Bridge, visit
Bayeaux tapestry or the city of Caen. Alternatively, sail on to
Deauville. Buy local French wine (Calvados) and cheese
(Camembert) |

Day Five |
Wake up and have breakfast.
Lock out and sail past Le Havre into the Seine river and lock
into the centre of picturesque Honfleur. |

|
|
|
Day Six |
Wake up and have
leisurely breakfast, wander ashore. Explore Honfleur. Passage planning for sail back across the
Channel to Hamble. Depart on Cross Channel passage Evening meal onboard -
Overnight passage making - Watch keeping. |

Day Seven |
Arrive off the Nab Tower, Eastern
Solent early
hours of the morning. Catch the tide up the
Solent back to Hamble. Pack up, Clean up, Debrief and depart |
