UK Mini Cruise

A four day experience cruise making use of the extended bank holiday weekend this spring. This trip is ideal for those with limited time who want to extend their experience of Coastal and Offshore passage making and navigation. Passages on this cruise start at Hamble and journey between Weymouth, in the west and Chichester in the east or, if the weather is suitable, across the Channel to Alderney and Cherbourg.

A great way to start off the sailing season making use of the extended public holiday weekends. A great way to build up your sailing mileage!

Arrival

Evening - Arrive at Hamble Point - Introduction to yacht. Safety briefing. Explanation to where everything is kept. General safety brief and discussion on the week ahead.
20:00 Ashore for a drink, bite to eat and get to know the Skipper and other people on the cruise.
Sleep aboard the yacht.

Day One:

Wake up -Early Start. Preparation to depart and deck briefing. 
Depart for Poole. Practice: Conventional and electronic navigation. Course to steer, Estimated positions, coastal navigation and
pilotage techniques. Moor up on Poole town quay or anchor Studland Bay.

Day Two:

Wake up and have breakfast
Passage to Weymouth - sail inshore along the Purbeck, Dorset coast. Pilotage into Weymouth harbour
Overnight alogside quay or rafted. Explore Ashore

Day Three:

Wake up and have breakfast, wander ashore for showers in yacht club.
Sail to Solent to Portsmouth. Around the south side of the Isle of Wight into eastern Solent at night.

Day Four:

Wake up and have breakfast, wander ashore.
Sail from Porstmouth back to Hamble. Sail handling and pilotage practice. Pack up, Clean up, Debrief and depart
